We are currently seeking a Project Technical Support Specialist to join our team! The Project Technical Support Specialist is an individual contributor with responsibility for the delivery of technical oversight and support to ensure sold projects are completed on time and meet our high standard of quality.
This is also a troubleshooting role with responsibility to solve problems at customers' sites both during and after installation.
Responsibilities:
Providing engineering support including project management, installation supervision, and answering service calls from the office and at customer sites as required.
Troubleshooting and solving problems at project sites and for equipment in service.
Developing and updating project packages, including construction drawings, schematics, installation guidance, product specifications, and delivery schedules.
Developing and defining job-site schedules to identify key executables to meet customer expectations and provide timely updates to all relevant parties.
Communicating project and technical support activities, needs, and task status within the Application Engineering department and across the company as needed.
Providing written documentation for reference as required by company policy and supervisor.
Conducting project post-mortem analyses and meetings to improve our project management processes.
Developing and maintaining a high level of technical expertise and knowledge of all products and industries served.
Understanding environmental control concepts and applying them appropriately to a wide variety of species, building designs, and market needs.
Thinking analytically and creatively to develop viable technical solutions using VAL-CO equipment to provide complete system solutions.
Analyzing proposed system solutions to identify and mitigate potential performance problems.
Creating quotes using text, calculations, bill of materials, simulations, drawings, and other tools to clearly explain and professionally present VAL-CO equipment solutions.
Provide product information and training to customers and internal staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS
Two-year technical degree in an engineering related field or equivalent experience, or enrolled in an Industrial Controls or Mechanics Technician program.
3+ years of relevant field experience with construction, mechanical and electrical systems.
Strong preference for multi-lingual skills, Spanish preferred.
Excellent organizational and written/verbal communications skills.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office; must be able to understand and create calculations in Excel.
Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints/schematics/engineering drawings.
Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
Ability to work analytically with variables true and perceived.
Ability to travel overnight to customer locations including international locations.
Must be self-motivated; Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
