Class A CDL Driver

Position Summary Responsible for the care of live product from time they are loaded onto truck until they reach their destination.
This individual is to be courteous at all times, drive in a defensive and courteous manner, representing Longenecker’s Hatchery well.
Responsible for the proper care of all company owned property.
​ Essential Job Functions * Pre-trip and post-trip inspection – assuring the safety of the vehicle * Loading the correct amount of cargo (chicks) onto the truck * Responsible for the proper care of the chicks/birds/eggs while in transit * Maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle and informing supervisor of vehicle problems * Maintaining a neat and clean personal appearance * Maintaining a proper company image on highway and on the farm * Other duties as assigned Qualifications Needed * Possess a current Class A CDL with good driving record * Able to handle flexible hours * Successful completion of DOT physical * Authorized to cross state lines * Able to do light lifting * Able to work with numbers * Able to courteously work with farmers as necessary * Pre-Employment Drug Testing * Provide Work history for CMV driver Jobs Job Specifics * Monday thru Friday * Hours per day: 8 to 12 hours * Hours per week: Approx.
50 hours * Work Week = 40 hours per week regular pay * Overtime = at time and one half for hours exceeding 40 per week * 75% local hauling and 25% distance hauling * Home every day * volume and distance bonuses paid bi-weekly ​ Excellent Benefits at 30 Days Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.
