We are seeking independent subcontractor delivery drivers to join our team! We provide the cargo vans and other necessary overhead expenses.
Rural Delivery Service (RDS) is a local same-day delivery service primarily serving the horse and buggy communities.
We are seeking responsible cargo van drivers.
We are a small business, but ever-growing! We are continually looking for drivers to add to our team.
Location: We are based in Quarryville, PA, but our service extends throughout Lancaster County and surrounding areas.
Please note: driver must reside in the location the job post is listed in (Elizabethtown, PA) - routes start and finish at the driver's residence.
Schedule: Business hours Monday-Friday.
Weekends off, as well as National holidays and Amish holidays!
Responsibilities:
* Pick up and deliver packages to and from locations in a timely manner
* Load and unload vehicle
* Manage invoicing
* Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle
* Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials
Qualifications:
* Must be 25 years of age or older (for insurability requirements)
* Must provide 3 character references (not family members)
* Demonstrate proficiency and accuracy in using our custom invoicing and route management software (after a reasonable training period)
* Average smartphone proficiency for communication, GPS/routing apps, etc.
* Experience in delivery driving, customer service, or other related fields (preferred)
* Clean driving record
* Ability to handle physical workload
* Detail-oriented
* Team-oriented
* Responsible
* Overall - good work ethic, dependable, and friendly!
