SUMMARY
The Lezzer driver is responsible for delivering building material products or supplies to customers, vendors or other company locations.
Drivers may be expected to operate freight handling equipment, maintain and operate company vehicles including stake body, tandem, boom truck, pickup truck, box van, and tractor-trailer including oversize loads.
Lezzer Lumber drivers have no night work!!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Assists in or performs the loading of delivery vehicles with customer orders or freight.
Delivers customer orders as assigned using sound and safe delivery practices for all types of deliveries including oversize loads.
Safely operates center vehicles, including but not limited to, roll-off trailers, flatbeds, tandems, and box trucks.
Provides courteous job site delivery service to all customers and customer representatives.
Properly completes delivery invoice documents.
Corrects or brings to the attention of the Dispatcher any unsafe vehicle condition or maintenance requirement.
Performs basic yard housekeeping duties as assigned in the yard and related storage facility areas.
Verifies and returns customer returned merchandise to the yard as requested.
Promptly and accurately complete DOT regulated driver and vehicle documents.
Performs daily preventative maintenance checks on delivery vehicles following company guidelines and maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the delivery fleet.
Follows safe vehicle and equipment operation and general yard practices.
Immediately reports all accidents, injuries, and incidents of damage to merchandise, physical plant and equipment and customer property to the Dispatcher, Yard Manager, Assistant or Location Manager.
Knows and practices safe and proper lifting, carrying, and materiel maneuvering practices.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Active CDL, Class A, required.
Ability to drive oversize load safely.
Ability to comply with and satisfactorily pass the pre-employment drug screen and random alcohol and drug screen testing per company policy.
Knowledgeable of DOT regulations and ability to comply with same.
Ability to work with moderate mathematical concepts such as calculating weights for material distribution at jobsite.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, and talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
