*Junior High Cheerleading Assistant Coach* position involves assisting the head coach with the overall operation and success of the cheerleading program.
Previous high school, college or competition cheerleading experience preferred.
Junior high, high school or competition coaching experience and experience working with student-athletes also preferred.
Assistance is expected in developing and organizing practices, team management, and leading the teams at fall and winter sporting events, school wide events and community events.
The position also involves planning for summer camp and involving the team in community service.
The well qualified applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of fundamental and advanced cheer skills, stunts and routines, safety skills and strategies, team dynamics and a willingness to work within the goals of the CV Cheerleading program.
The successful candidate will stress character and personal development within the program and in the community.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
