The Manheim Central High School is seeking applicants for our FT Gifted Teacher position for the 2023-2024 school year.
The person in this position will:
Develop and progress monitor all Gifted Individualized Education Plans (GIEP).
Identify individual student instructional needs by coordinating and conducting necessary assessments.
Design, implement, facilitate, and/or maintain specially designed instruction as indicated in individual student GIEPs including, but not limited to, curriculum compacting or grade-level acceleration.
Assist and facilitate appropriate and valuable transition services.
Collaborate with general education teachers in developing and implementing enrichment opportunities within the general education classroom.
Develop and implement units of study to identified gifted students.
Coordinate enrichment programs.
Facilitate holistic development of the student (academic and social).
Provide enrichment to non-identified students.
Stimulate on-going in-service and professional development as well as ongoing collaboration with general education teachers to ensure delivery of GIEP goals for identified students.
Work with general education teachers in the identification process of potential gifted students.
Pennsylvania Teaching Certification is required.
