Hands-on House, Children’s Museum of Lancaster is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids learn and making sure they have lots of fun in the process! The museum is designed for children ages 2-10.
At Hands-on House, adults and children play and learn together.
Our philosophy of childhood learning is simple: it lasts longer if it’s more fun, and it’s more fun if it includes doing.
*Position Title*: Admissions and Floor Staff
*General Description*: The admissions and floor staff work at our front desk as well as on the floor of the museum.
Front desk tasks include greeting guests, checking in members, taking payments/working a register, answering phone calls, scheduling events, and restocking the gift shop.
Museum floor tasks include resetting indoor and outdoor exhibits, running birthday parties, cleaning/sanitizing, and taking out trash.
*Physical Requirements*: Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, typing, answering phones, face-to-face interaction with patrons, crouching/bending over to pick up items, occasional lifting up to 25lbs
*Hours*: Part-time, approximately 10-20 hours per week (varies based upon need).
Hiring for multiple shift times: Evenings (3:30-7:30), Weekends (8:30-12:30, 12:30-6:30), and Weekdays (8:30-2:30).
*Starting Pay: *$10.

*Experience*: No experience is required but we encourage those with education, childcare, museum, ability to speak conversational Spanish, or guest service experience to apply.
