Summary
This is a part time/seasonal position to instruct youth with proper fundamentals needed to play tennis both recreationally and competitively.
Essential Functions
Give daily instruction to youth ages 6-18 years old
Effectively utilize drills as well as games to make experience both informative and fun
Identify where participants are lacking and how they can improve their level of play
Ensure participants are in a safe environment at all times
Communicate with parents, participants, instructors, and Activities Manager
Physical Requirements
Ability to demonstrate physical fitness to include frequent light to occasional heavy lifting (up to 15 lbs.
) standing, and walking for long periods of time, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.
Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Ability to talk, hear, and see.
Competencies
Ability to communicate policies, rules, and regulations to all that use the facility
Ability to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation.
Ability to communicate clearly with youth participating in Tennis.
Skills
Knowledge of various tennis techniques and rules and the ability to instruct youth.
Good leadership, communication, and social skills.
Abilities
Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
Give clear and concise instructions.
Required Education and Experience
1 Year experience instructing or playing tennis.

Must pass required State and Federal Background Checks
