As a Media Server Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of media servers, ensuring seamless integration with various audiovisual components to deliver exceptional live event experiences.
*Responsibilities:* *Media Server Setup and Configuration:* * Configure and set up media servers according to event specifications.
* Collaborate with the technical team to integrate media servers with audio, video, and lighting systems.
* Ensure compatibility and optimal performance of media server systems.
*Live Event Operation:* * Execute live event productions by operating media servers during rehearsals and performances.
* Monitor and troubleshoot any technical issues related to media servers in real-time.
* Collaborate with other technical teams to synchronize media elements with overall event production.
*Content Management:* * Manage and organize media content libraries for quick and efficient access during events.
* Collaborate with content creators and producers to ensure seamless playback of media assets.
* Implement best practices for content encoding, compression, and storage.
*Technical Support:* * Provide technical support before, during, and after live events.
* Collaborate with the broader technical team to address any technical challenges that may arise.
* Conduct regular maintenance and testing of media server systems.
*Documentation:* * Create and maintain detailed documentation for media server setups and configurations.
* Develop troubleshooting guides and procedures for common technical issues.
* Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies to enhance the efficiency of media server operations.
*Qualifications:* * Proven experience as a Media Server Technician for live events.
* Proficiency with all media server software and hardware * Strong knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
* Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols related to media server operations.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced live event environment and adapt to changing requirements.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
*Education and Experience: (Optional)* * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.
g.
, Audiovisual Technology, Media Production) or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the live events industry.
*Preferred Skills:* * Familiarity with audio and lighting systems.
* Programming skills for scripting and automation.
* Certifications related to media server technologies.
