1890’s August Pollmann’s Mandolin-Banjo (5 string) - $625 OBO • Wood plate on inside reads, “Pat MAY 3, 1887” • Condition - used • A past repair can be seen on the back side of the banjo, 3 hair line cracks in wood all have been repaired with wood glue.
• All original except the gold Medallion on the head stock.
It has been replaced with a gold color plastic piece.
Original tail piece, bridge, and tuners.
• Extremely light in the hand.
• August Pollmann was an instrument distributor in the 1890s.
• No case.
• This instrument has been in my family since before 1950.
